When I try to log into my admin CP it says I am not an admin, and when I try to change my profile information, it leads to a blank page, and does not update it.

I get the following errors in the e-mail...

        Great! Thanks

Now, did you just install vBulletin, or was it working for a while and suddenly doesn't work? Also, which version are you using? (e.g. 2.0.1, 2.0.2, 2.0.3?)

i JUST installed 2.0.3.. i can view stuff. like the main forum.. profiles.. and all the other features.. but it wont save anything to the data base.. like adding new posts, modifying accounts or anything...

the vb light worked perfectly tho...

was there any special thing i had to do other then upload the files and run the install script?

Hmm...I tried to register and after submitting that form I was taken to a blank page.

Can you find out what version of PHP you are running from your host? The requirement is at least 3.0.9.

Sorry, but PHP 3.0.16 is cutting it awfully close to the minimum requirements for running vBulletin - you should really talk to your host about upgrading their PHP installation, as PHP 4 will run a lot faster and put less strain on their server.

I believe that your problem is actually related to the 'track_vars' setting being off - this means that the necessary $HTTP_POST_VARS['action'] variables are not created, resulting in lots of blank pages when you submit forms.

It should be fairly easy for your host to enable track_vars on the server, even if they don't want to upgrade to PHP 4 for some reason.

ok.. well the requirements say php3.9 or 3.0.9 (i forget) is fine right? well thats what it supports....

my server also supports a version of php4, but plain .php extensions arent supported...

thanks ill talk to my host about getting those activated.

If your server supports PHP4, what file extensions does it expect in order to use that engine instead of the PHP3 engine?
