Please note, that you should not give out any propietary information about your site or server to anyone except vBulletin Support staff and any contracted subcontractors you might have.

They can do this, except at there own risk.

I have helped out around 5-7 people on this board and most of the offer the admin cp login so i can get it done faster.

However (sidenote), you should never give out licence information for vbulletin.

I totally agree with you about not giving out info,but like he said its at my own risk.
I chose to let him do it,not him saying its the only way he could fix it..
Bsides I already change the information in the DB,so not like he will be able to access the system again...

Just remember the risks that you assume when you allow others access to your system. There are many ways your system could be comprimised now, or in the future by allowing others into it.

Changing your password does nothing if one of your scripts was modified so that a user could then call it with paramaters to issue whatever queries they wish to manipulate.

I am not suggesting that any users here would participate in devious means such as this but you should always expect the worst. If the user's title does not say moderator or developer than don't let them in.

Also if you give your license info to others than your license is subject to being revoked. We have provided a means for you to autorize others to receive support in the members area by providing their forum usernames.
